Ashley Parker – Jazz, Musical Theatre, Certification in Acrobatic Arts and RAD Ballet
We are so excited that Ashley will be once again joining our dance family and faculty! Ashley began her training at Eurhythmics Dance Studio in 1998. What started as basic jazz training, soon became a juggle of many styles including Ballet (RAD), Tap, Musical Theatre, Lyrical/Contemporary, Hip Hop and Modern Dance. Upon finishing high school, she travelled to Vancouver to complete two seasons with Joanne Pesusich’s The Source Dance Company, where she studied extensively in Hip Hop, Jazz and Contemporary styles. There, she also had opportunities to perform at various events and venues in BC, and in the US – and touring with Groove Street Productions as a convention assistant. Past performance credits include; BC Sports Awards, Canada Day in Vancouver, “Concrete and Glass” (The Source Dance Company), “Stranded” (The Source Dance Company), “iYi: Dance Inspired” and Industrials (Telus).
Upon returning to Alberta, Ashley began teaching once more and discovered that her passion for teaching and love for dance came together in a harmonious relationship. She holds a Registered Teaching Status (RST) with The Royal Academy of Dance, and completed her certification with Acrobatic Arts, Module One. Ashley’s main focus for teaching is to foster love and passion for dance in each individual, in a safe and supportive environment – while providing equal opportunity for all children who wish to dance.

Here at Eurhythmics, we believe that having an assistant in each class is very vital to a young dancers training. All of our assistants are of intermediate and/or senior dancers and have trained in various areas of dance here at Eurhythmics. Each assistant attends various workshops throughout the year such as Groovestreet, Triple Threat and various workshops throughout the summer. Not only are our assistants mentors to many dancers, their duties and responsibilities are to ensure the classes start on time and the dancers are warmed up and ready to go, aid the instructor in each lesson, demonstrate movements and choreography and being available for students that need extra assistance in their training such as tutoring both inside and outside the classroom. We are pleased to announce our assistants for our 2016-2017 dance term.
